ON THE ACTIVITY OF THE WORKING GROUP FOR SPATIAL PLANNING OF THE HUNGARIAN-SLOVAKIAN / SLOVAKIAN-HUNGARIAN INTER-GOVERNMENTAL COMMITTEE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND NATURE CONSERVATION

The Working Group for Spatial Planning has established the following Expert Groups:

  • Expert Group for Planning
  • Expert Group for Glossary
  • Expert Group for Information and Register
  • Expert Group for Construction (to be established)

The membership of the Expert Groups will be updated in March, 2004

Completed projects:

  1. The Joint Planning Study for the Eastern Part of the Cross-border Region has been completed
  2. The Urban Study for the Salgótarján-Lucenec Region has been completed (the two sides are currently joined together)
  3. - The draft of the Hungarian-Slovakian Glossary has been completed, including the addition of terms proposed by the Slovakian partner

 

Proposals for the continuation of work:

  • Updating and integration of the planning studies for the eastern and western sections of the cross-border region
  • On the basis of the planning study elaboration of a more detailed study for the Aggtelek-Domica area
  • Integration and public consultation of the urban study for the Salgótarján-Lucenec Region
  • Finalisation of the Hungarian-Slovakian / Slovakian-Hungarian Glossary
  • Organisation of a new Expert Group for Development and Building Control.
